Artascope Studios in South Portland is an art facility with five separate media studios. Classes are taught in three formats: all-inclusive one night classes, weekly classes taught in series and weekend getaways. Subjects range from jewelry making to stained glass, landscape painting to collage. In addition to classes, we host events and parties and have a studio membership program. Metalsmithing for the Beginner!
May 17 to June 21st

This class is for those who want to take their first steps into the diverse world of metalsmithing. You will be introduced to the metalsmith studio, tools, terminology, and safety. Basic skills such as sawing, filing, sanding, forming metal, hammering, drilling and soldering will be taught. You will work on multiple beginner projects that will develop your newfound love for metals!
