A Christian Writers' Retreat with Cec Murphey

Cecil Murphey, the best-selling author of 90 Minutes in Heaven (with Don Piper) and Gifted Hands (with Ben Carson) is coming to Comfort for two days of instruction and discussion, October 31-November 2, 2010.    In addition to having published over one hundred books, mentoring writers has been his special passion. An internationally known speaker, Cec's topic will be ' When You've Got Something to Say, Say It Well."  Cec's experience and career span several genres, and also a few decades, so bring all your writing questions.  Anything in the field of writing is fair game.   Sessions will include instruction on creating better dialogue, better articles, and better writing, in general.  Attendees are invited to submit a sample of dialogue that will be discussed in the session.  Cec will select the most appropriate samples we receive.  Send a sample to info@lambstale.com by October24th.

If desired, you also may opt for a brief one-one consultation with Cec for a specific critique of a short sample of your writing. Your sample of writing should be about 3/4 page long. Cec will make suggestions of changes which you will have the opportunity to make during the retreat and then  meet with Cec once again before the end. This 'Consultation with Cec' may be selected for a small added charge. Send your sample in advance, deadline October 24th.

So whether you are a published writer or one who has not yet attained that, whether you need specific feedback or more general guidance, or whether you just like the company of other writers, this retreat will not disappoint.

Registration limit of 33 attendees.    Check-In at 3 PM, registration begins at 5, supper at 6, and first session at 7 PM.
