The 11th Paths to Partnerships Forum took place on October 20th at the Hilton San Diego and was a resounding success. More than 800 people attended this one day event which included an exhibit hall with over 85 public agencies, contractors, vendors, and suppliers coming together to support the region’s small business community.

The 12th Annual Paths to Partnerships Regional Forum is a collaborative regional outreach event for small businesses interested in working with public agencies. It provides firms with an opportunity to learn about government contracts and forge business relationships with public agencies and other government contractors. This year's event will be held at the San Diego Convention Center.
Come meet local, state, and federal officials and buyers and learn about the contracting opportunities they have available. Additionally, at the event, you will be able to:

Early bird registration is $50 and ends September 13. After this date, registration is $60 and all payments must be made at the door by check or cash.
Parking at the San Diego Convention Center is $10 per day and is self parking. There are no in and out privileges. Paying for parking is separate from the event.
As an alternative to driving, consider taking the bus or trolley to the event. For more information about taking public transportion to the San Diego Convention Center, click here.

The Water Authority's Small Contractor Outreach and Opportunities Program (SCOOP) is designed to maximize the participation of small businesses on Water Authority contracts and procurements. The SCOOP outreach approach is to incorporate activities focused on networking, training, and technical assistance to increase small business bidders and contractors on Water Authority projects.
The State of California Department of General Services serves as business manager for the State of California, with more than 4,000 employees and a budget in excess of one billion dollars. The DGS contracts out more than $9 billion every year to small businesses. It helps to better serve the public by providing a variety of services to state agencies through innovative procurement and acquisition solutions, creative real estate management and design, state-of-the-art telecommunications, environmentally friendly transportation, and funding for the construction of safe schools. State agencies are also encouraged to buy from certified Small Businesses and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises, whenever possible.

The Water Authority is a public agency serving the San Diego region as a wholesale supplier of water. The Water Authority works through its 24 member agencies to provide a safe, reliable water supply to support the region's $174 billion economy and the quality of life of 3.2 million residents.
