Presidents Leadership Summit 2010

President Obama has issued a call to action: By the year 2020, he wants America to have the highest proportion of students graduating from college in the world. Campus Compact is convening an invitation-only Summit meeting of its member presidents to directly respond to the President's challenge.

We will begin at 5 pm on Tuesday, October 12 with a nationally known speaker whose passion for civic engagement will set the stage for the following day's program. On Wednesday, October 13 from 9 am until 3 pm, we will discuss how community-based research, engaged scholarship, and the nurturing of innovative community partnerships can result in civic engagement at its best on individual campuses and as a collective force.

Through dialogue, peer-to-peer discussions, listening sessions, and case examples we will reveal the positive effect that civic engagement activities have on college access and success. Our young people are counting on us to set them on the strongest path to success. We hope you will join us for this important forum.
