Health Care Tax Credit & HIRE Act Seminar for Non-Profits (Milwaukee) 

What does the new Health Care Tax Credit & HIRE Act mean to your non-profit?

The Small Business Health Care Tax is part of the Affordable Care Act, which became law this year.  If you are a tax-exempt organization that pays at least half the cost of single health insurance, you may qualify for a new tax credit. At this seminar you will learn:

  • Which employers are eligible for the small employer health care tax credit?
  • What is the maximum credit allowed?
  • How is the credit calculated?
  • How does an employer claim the credit? 

President Obama signed the Hiring Incentives to Restore Employment Act (HIRE Act) on March 18, 2010.  This act includes temporary tax breaks for increasing employment.  Kim Ruef, Partner with Wegner CPAs & Consultants will discuss these tax breaks including:

  • Who qualifies (employer and employee)
  • What are the breaks?
  • Recordkeeping requirements
