Chicago Center SignatureTours

We are offering two of our Signature Tours. Registration for the tours will hold a space in a tour, please indicate which tour is your preference and we will try to honor that choice based on number of participants.

There is a limit of 12 participants for each tour, registration is taken on a first-come first-serve basis.

South Side Tour: During the South Side Tour you will explore Chicago Center's history while learning about the economic and ethnic diversity that exists in the city south of the Loop, as well as political and business interests centered here. 

The tour will be lead by Arvis Averette, Chicago Center Urban Social Work Director.  This tour has been an integral part of Chicago Center's curriculum since 1980.

This tour is a driving tour of Chicago's South Side and will begin and end at Chicago Center's office. 

Architectural Loop Tour: You will explore the architecture such as, Chicago Public Library, and public art such as Picasso, Miro, and Calder, of Chicago's Downtown Loop District.

One of many highlights of this tour is that you will go inside magnificent architectural structures to discover some of the architecture missed from the street.

This tour is a walking tour, lead by Scott Chesebro, Chicago Center Executive Director.
