Rural Matters! Emerging Health Opportunities and Challenges 

Please join us on October 21-22, 2010, when the MRHA and other rural organizations including the State Office of Rural Health (SORH) and the Rural Maryland Council (RMC) join together to host the 2010 Maryland Rural Health Conference -- Rural Matters: Emerging Health Challenges and Opportunities. The goal of the conference is to mobilize rural health stakeholders to enter the next decade with a clearer picture of the challenges and opportunities facing rural communities. The conference will help set the stage for a 2011 Rural Health Legislative Agenda and increase knowledge by all participants on the health issues facing rural Maryland. Early Bird Registration is now closed.  Registration is $235.00 (includes breakfast and lunch both days and dinner on Thursday).  Space is limited and registration will be closed at our max capacity.

Event Registration does not include accommodations. A block of rooms has been reserved at Rocky Gap for a conference rate of $125.00 (not including 14% Taxes and Fees) and can be reserved directly with the hotel at 1-800-724-0828 or http://www.rockygapresort.com/.

Western Maryland Area Health Education Center (WMAHEC) is helping to sponsor the event and is an approved sponsor of continuing education with the Board of Social Work Examiners.  This program meets the criteria for 10 credits hours of Category I Social Work Continuing Education activity if all sessions are attended. If you would like to register for CEU credits you must be register separately  for an additional fee of $20.00

Payment for regular registration will be due by date of conference.  If using PayPal you do not need a PayPal account.
