Conference Day 1 - September 24, 2010                            What Does "Good Care" Really Mean?

For professionals involved in the delivery of care - CEO's, Directors, Direct Care Staff, State and County Agency Staff, ISP Teams

Internationally known ethicist Hans Reinders will frame the topics of ethics as they apply to professional caregivers and the gift of friendship for people with disabilities. During the breakout session, attendees will discuss and begin to develop a practical implementation plan based upon Hans’ teaching. Alternatively, ISP teams may attend and, during the breakout, apply learning directly to an ISP.

If you are a Licensed Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Professional Counselor in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, you may receive Continuing Education Credits for participating in this conference through a partnership with Family Services of Montgomery County, a preapproved agency. Attendees eligible for CECs must attend the entire day’s program without exception; those unable to attend the entire day are not eligible for part of the CECs awarded. Sorry, NO EXCEPTIONS.

Keynote speeches and workshops offer tips, tools, and wisdom on developing or continuing your faith community’s outreach to people with disabilities and their families. A distinct track offers guidance on developing a ministry to veterans.
