Getting the Scoop From Old Newspapers

Here at Genealogy Gems we are excited to be launching Genealogy Gems Webinars.  Our very first event is a "beta-test" webinar and we are opening registration to Genealogy Gems Premium Members only.

Best of all the BETA is just a BUCK!  (Retail Value: $39.95)

Yep, $1.00 gets you access to this live one hour webinar.  And we're only charging one buck so that we can set up and test all aspects of our webinar system.  Attendance "Seating" is Limited!

What Premium Members will learn:

  • The types of key family history information that can be found in historical newspapers
  • How to identify newspapers that likely covered your ancestors
  • Web sites that have digitized collections of newspapers online
  • Search hints for key online newspaper collections
  • Lisa's Top 4 Tips to Remembers as you search newspapers

After registering you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar within 24 hours.

System Requirements:
Computer and broadband Internet connection.
PC-based attendees: Windows 7, Vista, XP, 2003 Server or 2000
Mac attendees: Mac OS X 10.4.11 (Tiger) or newer

FAQ: What's a Webinar?
A webinar is a live workshop (much like you would attend at a genealogy conference) but it takes place online.  That means you can attend the workshop from the comfort of your own home.  All you need is a computer and a broadband Internet connection.  After registering you will receive an email with your own person link to the webinar.  About 5 minutes or so before the webinar is scheduled to begin just click the link in the email and sign is as directed on the GotoWebinar website. (You do not need a GotoWebinar account to sign in.)  Then sit back and enjoy the live event.
