Each one is a superstar in their corner of the food world. Few chefs in America have won more acclaim than SUZANNE GOIN (Lucques, AOC, Hungry Cat, Tavern). She was named Best Creative Chef by Boston magazine in 1994, one of the Best New Chefs by Food & Wine in 1999, and won the James Beard award for Best Chef: California.
KCRW radio personality EVAN KLEIMAN (Angeli Caffe, author of Pasta Fresca, Cucina Fresca, and Cucina Rustica) serves on the Board of Directors of the Hollywood Farmers' Market and on the Board of Overseers of The Chef's Collaborative 2000; organizations which are devoted to educating the public on issues of sustainability.
RUSS PARSONS is the food and wine columnist of the Los Angeles Times. He is the author of the best-selling How to Read a French Fry, a winner of multiple James Beard Awards for his journalism, and the recipient of the IACP/Bert Greene Award for distinguished writing.
THETIS SAMMONS has been farming organically and creating mixed use landscapes for 35 years. During the last three years many of California top chefs, including Matt Accarino of Craft, Chris L’Hammedieu of Michael Mina, and Bradley Ogden of Route 246, have served some of Thetis's delicious heirloom tomatoes and other specialty vegetables in their menus.
After graduating from Harvard CHRIS TAYLOR designed lighting for major rock acts. He later pursued a career in film & TV; he worked as a DP with Gary Oldman, Johnny Depp, Tim Burton, Michael Lehman, and directed episodic TV for FOX and CBS. FOOD FIGHT, his first feature documentary, premiered at AFI Fest LA.
