UCR Palm Desert is pleased to announce “The Science of Evolution: Life, the Earth, and the Universe” lecture series, featuring faculty members from UCR’s College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences. The lecture topics cover botany, biology, genetics, Earth sciences and astronomy and aim to boost awareness and understanding of how science works and engage the public in the joy and excitement of science.
The lectures are free and open to the public. Each will be held at 6 p.m. at the UCR PDGC in the University Building Auditorium (Room B100).
The final lecture in the series is, "Life's Rocky Road: The History of Life on Earth” and the lecture will be given on March 3 at 6 p.m. and is presented Nigel Hughes, Ph.D., Professor of Geology, UCR.
