You are invited to attend the annual  McCorkle Road End-of-Year Celebration

The annual End-of-Year event is your chance to get up close and personal with various city, county, government, and local leaders.

We have changed things up just a little in 2009. To help promote and support our community, we will still be hosting our annual End-of-Year event at a local establishment and we will still foot the bill and pay for lunch for our invited guests and members. However, to make things fair for everyone, this year we are asking non-members and guests to join us by supporting Whitehaven's newest eat-in restaurant and our chosen venue, the Blue Suede, 4404 Elvis Presley Boulevard.

This year, our featured guest speakers will include:

City of Memphis Directors:

  • Ernest Dobbins (Community Enhancement)
  • Dwan Gilliom (Public Works)
  • Janet Hooks (Public Services and Neighborhoods)

Other invitees include your local city and county leaders:

  • Councilman Edmund Ford Jr.
  • State Representative Karen Camper
  • County Commissioner James Harvey
  • Memphis Police Dept., Raines Station, Colonel Mary Overton-Jackson
  • Memphis Police Department, Raines Station, Major Vernessa Hudson
  • Environmental Court Judge Larry Potter
  • City of Memphis Code Enforcement Officer Alan Hokes
  • Shelby County Code Enforcement Officer Craig Moore

and others. Should you desire to sample the delicious cuisine at Blue Suede, your admission can cover the cost of your lunch.

In closing, I would like to address the following points:

  • You should consider attending because this is a rare opportunity to meet and speak with some of Memphis's most important leaders.
  • You will have an opportunity to sample the great food and customer service at Blue Suede, Whitehaven's newest restaurant.
  • You will have the chance to greet neighbors you already know and meet new ones.
  • You can obtain firsthand answers to some of the pressing questions you have concerning the many divisions that fall under our three featured guest speakers and how the individuals present can help to answer questions and solve many of the problems you may have.

Please register now and reserve your spot today as seating is limited. If registration is full, we still want you to be in attendance, so please call us at (901) 396-6300 or email mccorkleroad@aol.com  immediately to confirm your spot

MRNDA members and invited guests are free.

The cost for all others to attend is $10 without lunch or $15 with the lunch selection of your choice served.
