Join us for this two-day workshop as traditional foods educators Valerie Segrest and Elise Krohn share tools and teaching tips for promoting Native health and resilience. On the first day, participants will explore food as medicine through group discussions, cooking and sampling recipes. On the second day, participants will learn how to use the Native Infusion Teaching Toolkit, which promotes ancestral beverages and educates people about the connection between sugary drinks and chronic diseases such as diabetes. Handouts, recipes, posters and other education materials will be available for educators to share.
