Mill Street Makers Market 

Creative Show Promotions, event organizer for An Affair on the Square Craft & Vintage Fair, and Main Street Medina are excited to bring a unique makers market to Mill Street, a quaint little alleyway in the heart of Medina, Ohio's South Town District - a  budding arts & entertainment spot. We invite local artists/crafters/makers to participate in this event held one Sunday of the month - June, July, August, September and October. It will bring together the finest in local handmade arts and crafts, food and live music.

MARKET INFORMATION

Location: Mill Street, Medina, Ohio—outdoor event

Dates: Sundays: August 15, September 19, October 17

Hours of Show: 11 am to 4 pm.

Set up: begins at 7 am. Mill Street is a blacktopped surface so you must bring weights to hold down your tent

Tear Down: begins at 4 pm

Booth space & fee: 10’X10’ for $75. 10’X20’ for $150

There is no electricity or access to water available. You will provide your complete set up. Tents, tables, chairs are not available. Final set up instructions will be emailed with space assignments before the scheduled show.

ELIGIBILITY / JUDGING

An independent jury will judge artist/maker/crafter pieces of professional quality in any medium for acceptance to become a Vendor at Mill Street Makers Market.

  • All works must be at least 2/3 hand-made, allowing for purchased embellishments
  • Applicants will be juried on quality, creativity and professional presentation

APPLICATION PROCEDURE

Artists will need to submit 4 digital images - 1 of their booth and 3 of their medium to millstreetmakersmarket@gmail.com. Please submit your images in JPEG format or as a PDF.
NO PRINTED PHOTOS WILL BE ACCEPTED

ARTIST RESPONSIBILITY

Artists are responsible for setting up their display with appropriate weather protection, keeping space free of clutter and making sure tents are weighted down properly.

Sales tax is the artist’s responsibility. Current Medina County sales tax is 6.75%. Sales tax rates are available at www.taxes.ohio.gov, select Ohio taxes, Sales & Use, and then Tax Rates & Changes.

Artists are required to have a valid vendors license.

GENERAL RULES AND GUIDELINES

  • We will follow the COVID  protocols required by the Medina Health Department at the time of the event.
  • Space will be jurried and assigned on a first come, first served basis once application, pictures and payment in full is received. Any special requests can be noted on the application. Payment will be refunded if not accepted. 
  • At both locations, once vendors have unloaded they must move their vehicles to park away from the Market to allow parking for customers of the Market and surrounding businesses. Vendors are asked to park in the Habitat for Humanity Restore lot. A map will be provided with space assignments and final set up instructions a week before the event.
  • Artists are expected to make booth displays as attractive and professional as possible. All tables must be covered to the ground.
  • Product integrity, parking violations, unacceptable rude behavior (verbal or written), sexual harassment of other vendors or customers are subject to immediate dismissal at the discretion of the Manager.
  • Vendors are strongly encouraged to have Liability Insurance.
  • Vendors are responsible for informing their employees of the parking (and all other) rules of the Market.
  • Vendors are expected to leave their tents up until 4:00pm even if they have sold out of product. Vendors may put a sold out sign on their table and leave their booth but may not remove tent/table until the end of the Market.
  • At the end of the Market, spaces must be clean and  completely free of debris.
