SCORE and Capital One Bank have partnered to provide a workshop designed to help small businesses not only survive but thrive in the current economy.

You will also have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with a SCORE mentor to discuss your unique situation and network with other small businesses who are facing similar challenges.

Take home winning strategies to survive and thrive!!!

Understanding your Credit Report: Personal vs. Business will provide an overview of concepts necessary to understand the correlation between personal and business credit. Discuss Dun & Bradstreet report (D&B) and the new Credit Card Act. Personalize your plan for improvement.

Business Alternatives for the Entrepreneur: You want to own a business but you face a choice. Should I start up a new business, should I buy an existing business, or should I purchase a franchise? We will review the ten most important factors you need to consider in evaluating each of the three alternatives. Sample topics include: What management experience is required? Is funding one alternative easier than funding another? Will you control your own destiny? What are the valuation metrics?

Entrepreneurship Panel - Listen to 4 local successful entrepreneurs and learn their secrets for success. Hear what works and what doesn't from a variety of small businesses. Learn the pitfalls, what to avoid and when to pay attention.
