8-Hour Incident Commander Training for HAZWOPER Personnel - March 10, 2022 - Fort Wayne 

An 8-Hour Incident Commander for Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) Personnel class will be held March 10, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. The cost per person is $175.00.  The location of the course will be the SES Training Center in Fort Wayne, Indiana (3807 Transportation Drive).

This class is for individuals who have taken the 40-hour General Site Worker Course, 24-hour Occasional Site Worker Course or 24-hour Hazardous Materials Technician course

• Overview of Incident Command System
• Competencies required for analyzing hazardous materials (HAZMAT) incidents
• Competencies required for estimating outcomes of HAZMAT incidents
• Competencies required for developing an Incident Action Plan
• Competencies required for implementing the Incident Action Plan
• Competencies required for evaluating progress during the HAZMAT response
• Competencies required for terminating the incident
• Discussion of leadership roles and responsibilities for incident commanders

The Incident Commander class is limited to 8 students due to social distancing requirements.  Attendees are asked to bring a mask with them to wear when social distancing is not possible.  Lunch will not be provided due to sanitization requirements; however, there will be a break to allow for off-site dining. Click on the registration link below to sign-up for the class. Payment is due prior to the class.
