Computer Forensics and e-Discovery
in Today's Legal Society

July 15, 2014

Florida Bar Approved for 1.0 CLE Credit

If the terms metadata, native format, or OCR make you cringe and run for cover, then this seminar is for you!  Please join the OCBA Paralegal Section for its July 15th lunchtime seminar entitled, "Computer Forensics and e-Discovery in Today's Legal Society."  We are excited to welcome Trent Walton, the Chief Technology Officer for U.S. Legal, who will teach us more about these scary terms and bring some much needed calm to the storm we call e-discovery.

Mr. Walton founded Electronic Legal Services, a Denver-based company, with the sole goal of providing complete discovery services to law firms.  Mr. Walton has numerous certifications and, prior to starting  his own company, he was a Litigation Assistant for one of Denver's largest law firms.  His prior law firm experience has given him a unique insight into the lives of attorneys and paralegals alike, and has helped him to demystify the ESI world for legal professionals across the country.

In this short but sweet presentation, Mr. Walton will walk through the do's and dont's of how computer forensics and electronic evidence apply to today's new best of breed legal practices.  You will enjoy an interactive discussion on the life cycle of a case that involves the collection, forensic investigation, processing, document review and production of electronic evidence.  You will also learn about the potential pitfalls and benefits that can accompany cases that involve electronic data.  But that's not even the best part!  The best part is this seminar has been approved for 1.0 CLE credit by the Florida Bar!

A hot catered lunch and giveaways will also be provided courtesy of:
