All clergy and parish leaders in your parish are invited to the Trent Durham Parish Leadership Workshop.  Who should attend?  Clergy, churchwardens, deputy churchwardens, treasurers and parish administrators as well as those thinking of stepping into those positions in the next year.  The Bishop strongly recommends that clergy register with their parish team!

Registration begins at 9:00 am. The program starts at 9:30 am with opening prayers and the Bishop's remarks. Topics include:  Human Resources (screening, hiring & firing, contracts, etc.), Property Management (licenses / leases, inspections, rectories "surplus,"  Parish Finances (Legal status, CRA responsibilities and trust funds) and Insurance Issues.  The day ends with prayer and wrap up at 3:15 pm.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided.  Please note: although we will pass on the details of any dietary concerns, past experience suggests that we cannot fully cater to the needs of those who are gluten intolerant or on other special diets.  We respectfully suggest that you may wish to bring an alternative, but do hope that some of the refreshments will be suitable. 

Registration:  $12.00 per peson.  Parishes are welcome to send a cheque to cover all members attending the workshop.  Cheques should be made out to:  The Incorporated Synod of the Diocese of Toronto and sent to Gwen Humphreys at:  Trent Durham Bishop's Office, 965 Dundas Street West, Suite 207, Whitby, ON  L1P 1G8.

Workshop Materials will be available on line shortly.  Please note that hard copies will not be available at the workshop.  Attendees should bring copies of whatever reference documents they wish to have on hand.  A copy of each presenter's slides will be shown on a projector.  Please contact your Area Bishop's office if you are not able to access your own hard copies.
