FREE SCBWI FAIRE
& Holiday Mixer
Sat. Dec. 6th, 1 - 3 pm
Oakland Public Library Main Branch, Meeting Room
Join us for our FREE SCBWI Faire and Holiday Mixer. Learn about SCBWI, ask all those questions you've been wanting to (like the website!), and learn about all the resources we have for you! PLUS, enjoy holiday treats, catch up with friends, old and new and make some new friends too!
Even though this is a free event, please register below so we have a headcount for food planning.
We'll have tables set up with volunteers ready to answer your questions and meet people for the following areas:
New Member Welcome
PAL (Published and Listed) Members
Critique Groups and Using Crit Connect
Illustrators
Member Services: Learn about all the resources including THE BOOK. (We'll have few hard copies available for $15, Members Only). Learn about the levels of membership, online resources, how to find out about events, and more.
County "Say Hi" Tables: Check in with your county's volunteer coordinator, say hello, and find out what's coming up! Visit all the county tables and meet the volunteers that put on the programs that help you in your craft. Got meeting ideas? Want to volunteer? Let them KNOW!
Please bring your favorite treat to share (for 6 people – last year we had a TON of food.) We'll have other treats and beverages too.
Parking is free in downtown Oakland for the Saturdays during the holidays. The Clay Street Garage is free as are the meters up until the stated time on the meter (so if it says a 2 hour meter, you have 2 free hours and then you should think about moving.)
