Wine, Dine and Learn about Flounder

Monday, October 20, 2014

6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Coastal Provisions Market, Southern Shores

Do you love seafood? Do you want to learn more about where it comes from? Do you want to sit back, relax with a glass of wine and a deliciously prepared multi-course meal with flounder? If you answered yes at least once, you should join us for dinner samplings at Coastal Provisions Market Wine Bar and Café. Chefs Scott Foster and Daniel Lewis have put together a custom menu for the evening, featuring locally-harvested flounder with appropriate wine pairings for multiple courses.

While we wine and dine, the coastal federation will give updates about local restoration efforts and opportunities to get involved. The main event will be hearing from a local waterman that works hard to harvest from the NC coast and get local seafood to your table, including the local species of flounder. Learn about the importance of flounder in our waterways, and how you can help us protect their habitat.

The price for this multi-course menu, featuring local flounder, with multiple wine pairings is $50 for federation members and $60 for non-members. Seating is limited, so please register below to reserve seats.  Reservations are non-refundable and guests must be 21 years or older or accompanied by an adult.
