 Is Starting a Business Right for You?

The SCORE Simple Steps workshop series can help you make a smart start. 

The SCORE Simple Steps workshops will help you:  

  • Define and evaluate your ideas
  • Develop a marketing strategy
  • Identify the best ways to fund your start-up
  • Turn your idea into action with tools and templates
  • Get useful and helpful mentoring sessions
  • Connect with other entrepreneurs

Jump-start your business idea with the SCORE Simple Steps workshops.  Successful and experienced executives will help you reach a "go or no-go" decision for starting a business.

Make a smart start.  Attend the SCORE Simple Steps workshop series and begin your journey for small business success. The full program includes face to face coaching after the workshops, between sessions and at the end of the series to assure that you can use the tools and templates effectively.

The FREE Session 1 presentation on September 24th will outline the scope of the workshop series, the roster of lecturers, discussion groups, mentors and helpful materials to be used.  Session 1 is limited to 80 registered students.

Participants ready to pursue their business start-up may sign up for the entire workshop series - sessions 1-5 which will feature lectures, interactive exercises and between session mentoring.  Package cost of sessions 1-5 is $125 and is limited to 15 registered students.

Simple Steps Overview:

9-24-11  Saturday  9AM-Noon  Session 1:  Start-Up Basics FREE, must register, limit is 80

Sessions 2 through 5 cost $125 and are limited to 15 students

10-1-11  Saturday  9AM-Noon  Session 2:  Business Concept

10-8-11  Saturday  9AM-Noon  Session 3:  Marketing Plan

10-15-11    Saturday  9AM-Noon  Session 4:  Financial Projections

10-22-11    Saturday  9AM-Noon  Session 5:  Funding Sources, Next Steps

Online payments are made through PayPal (PayPal account not required), must have a credit/debit card (Mastercard, Visa, American Express or Discover) - cash or checks not accepted.  If you have a PayPal account you will need to use the credit card associated with your PayPal account.  When you arrive at the PayPal screen, you will have the option to log into your PayPal account or select "Don't have a PayPal Account" where you will be able to enter your billing information.                  

If you decide to attend only Session 1 you will still be able to register for sessions 2-5 at Session 1, provided we have not met our maximum of 20 students. Payment only by Credit or Debit card prior to Saturday, September 24.  During Session 1 on Saturday, Cash (in the exact amount), check or debit/credit will be accepted.
