Description: This workshop focuses on the strategic process of managing the financial resources of a small business. You will learn about the importance and basic elements of creating a budget, recording financial transactions, creating a financial statement, and other fundamental entrepreneurial responsibilities.
Presenter Bio: Ernest (Val) Mathews is a Business/Technical Solutions professional with 20+ years success driving complex engagements, pre- and post-sales support, managing sub-contractors, and developing new services in changing commercial, government, and technical markets. His responsibilities have included bid management, business cases, and business/technical risk analysis for various organizations, including small companies, large corporations, Federal agencies, and an international joint venture.
Val has worked for Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab, IBM, AT&T (as manager dealing with Federal Government projects), and a Russian American telecom investment company. He was a Solutions Architect for a complex international oil and gas services project. Val is currently a mentor with the SCORE Princeton chapter.
