Financial Accounting and Financial Projections

Description:  This course is designed for the non-financial person who wishes to learn the basics of accounting and obtain some practical advice on the financial management of a small business.  The level is basic and requires no prior knowledge; attendees are invited participate and to ask questions!  Topics covered will include:

  • Accounting Basics for the Non-Accountant Small Business Person
  • Basic Tax Considerations when starting/operating your Small  Business
  • How to Financially Plan for, and then manage, your Small Business
  • Practical considerations for maintaining monthly Financial Records

Seminar Leader:  Leon Petelle.    A CPA, Leon retired after working 27 years for a large pharmaceutical company in the USA and overseas.  Prior to retiring, he worked primarily in the international area, including in positions in treasury operations and cash flow management.  Additionally, he helped establish and build his company's business in former  Iron Curtain countries after the fall of the Berlin wall.  During his career, he worked in various other roles supporting manufacturing, research and development, and sales/marketing operations.
