The Board's Role in Fundraising - Getting members of a nonprofit board of directors to actively participate in fundraising an be one of the biggest challenges faced by a nonprofit.  The first step is to understand the nature and facts about caritable giving.  Secondly, it is important to understand that there are dozens of ways in which board members can fundraise, depending entirely on there personal preferences.  Participants in this workshop will understand these two concepts and more and they will believe that "fundraising is NOT begging, it is a values exchange!"

Nonprofit Planning...Yes You Can! - The phrase "Strategic Planning" strikes fear in the hearts of nonprofit boards and staff members alike.  Even if you have successfully developed a plan, how often is it actually implemented?  Participants will leave this workshop understanding the framework of successful planning, whether it is for the next 3 months or the next 3 years.  Plans created from this framework will be more likely to be successfully implemented.

Keys to Volunteer Management - Volunteers provide an invaluable service to nonprofit organizations. Attend this session to discover effective methonds for determining the wants and needs of volunteers in today's changing environment.  Learn why people volunteer and how to best utilize that motivation to fit your needs.  This session addresses recruitment trends, where to look for the volunteers of tomorrow, and how to keep the volunteers you have.
