Going to Work with a Record - A webinar presented by Center for Employment Opportunities

Date: Wednesday, June 24, 2020
Time: 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. EST
Length: 1.5 hours
Location:
Online webinar
Presenters:
Christine Kidd, National Director of Program Innovation, Center for Employment Opportunities and a related subject matter expert.

This hour and a half webinar will address important considerations and barriers to reemployment for justice involved individuals, with a focus on those individuals recently released from prison or jail.

Key learning objectives include:

  • A deeper understanding of the reentry population (gender, education levels, geography)
  • The demands of probation and parole supervision, especially as they relate to employment
  • How to address the “conviction question” in the interview process; issues around Selective Service and eligibility for federal funding.

This webinar is ideal for frontline staff, recruiters, and human resource professionals looking to train and hire individuals with a justice involved history. There will be an opportunity for Q&A with the experts to support the learning.
