Your school is invited to Mass STEM Hub's
2019 Design Showcase
Tuesday, June 4, 2019, 9:30am-1:30pm
at Merck Research Laboritories
Middle school showcase for Project Lead The Way students to
present their adaptive toy designs for a child with cerebral palsy
In Project Lead The Way’s middle school Design & Modeling unit, students learn the engineering design process, critical measurement and mathematical modeling skills, computer-aided design software, and about cerebral palsy.
The final project of PLTW's Design & Modeling course challenges students to design, test, and fabricate an adaptive toy for a child with cerebral palsy. At the showcase students will present their projects to doctors and patients of the cerebral palsy unit of Boston Children's Hospital and receive real-world feedback.
Last year’s Design Showcase was an immensely successful PLTW Massachusetts community event with teams from across the state. We hope you can join us in the success this year!
Please register your school for this event by May 14th.
We will send out a student team registration link for the showcase
once you have signed up using the form above.
