Creating Our Gender Revolution Through Words

What would the world be like if we were all truly equal to each other? Do you think that boys and men are more valued than women and girls? What happens when boys and men are seen as more powerful than girls and women?

Our Gender Revolution (formerly known as Love What's Real) believes in a world where everyone can thrive and fulfill their real potential. We want to create communities where everyone has equal value and we all share power, no matter our gender, class, race, ability, and more.

How Does it Work?

Idaho middle and junior high school students are invited to enter an original poem or essay! Writing must be 75 words or less (title does not count) of an original work on one of the four essential themes. Students can submit up to three poems or essays and can write in the language they can best express themselves.

$100 will be awarded to the top 10 selections for the middle/junior high school category. Over 100 poems or essays that are creative and capture the spirit of one of the themes for the high school category will be selected for publication for the middle/junior high school book to be released in February 2016.
