AIHEC's 2019 Annual Legislative Summit 

AIHEC's 2019 Annual Legislative Summit (formally known as the Winter Meeting) will be held at the Holiday Inn Capitol in Washington, DC on February 4-8, 2019. Monday, February 4 through the morning of Thursday, February 7 are open to all participants. The afternoon of Thursday, February 7 and the morning of Friday, February 8 are for TCU President only.

For TCU Presidents, travel days are Sunday, February 3 and Friday afternoon, February 8, or later. For all other participants, travel days are Sunday, February 3 and Thursday afternoon, February 7, or later. Click here for a detailed schedule of events.  (Check periodically for updates.)

We encourage all TCUs to bring at least one student to this important event who is able to share a compelling story of her or his journey with particular focus on Title III funding at the student's TCU. 

Please note: It is very important to register ALL participants for this meeting. Each TCU may bring up to FIVE participants without incurring a registration fee. The AIHEC Board of Directors approved a motion at the 2016 fall meeting to implement a registration fee for each additional participant beyond five per TCU.  A registration fee of $200, to help cover the costs of meals provided, will be assessed for participants over 5/TCU. TCUs registering additional participants will receive an electronic invoice after registration. 

Using the registration link below, please have ONE person register all those attending from your college. To help us accommodate Capitol Hill requests for names of all meeting attendees, please be sure to register all participants from your institution by 5:00 pm (EST) on Thursday, January 13, 2019.

Pre-Meeting Webinars: To prepare for meetings with your Congressional delegation and Administration officials, AIHEC will host a 1-hour webinar (offered twice) to discuss priorities and key meeting points. We expect all participants, especially students, to participate in one of the two webinars. (You only need to participate in one.) Webinars will be: Jan. 23 and Jan. 24 at 2:00 p.m. (EST).
