The 3 Vital C's in Medicare Home Health Administration: COP's, Certification, and Compliance

Many home health agencies are faced with the challenge of providing orientation and training to a growing number of inexperienced Directors of Nursing and Administrators who, themselves are forced to take a higher administrative position due to high staff turnover and inadequate qualified supervisors.

However, we know that growth does not occur on a foundation of knowledge that may be inadequate. Come learn or be refreshed in the basics of what a DON or Administrator must know in the practice of home health. We’ll discuss few regulatory updates in our industry to keep you abreast with some of these important rules.

Who Should Attend:

Homecare Clinical Supervisors, Directors of Nursing, Administrators, Quality Improvement/QA Staff, Compliance Officers, Field Nurses & Therapists

Topics:

1) Regulatory Updates: 2017 PPS/Case Mix Change, Home Health Quality Reporting Program, Value-Based Purchasing Pilot (VBP), Face to Face (F2F), Recertification, Probe and Educate, Star Rating System and PEPPER.

2) Home Health Conditions of Participation now and key changes ahead

3) Medicare Certification, ongoing Certification and current survey protocol

4) Medicare eligibility and coverage for home care services

5)  Basic performance improvement reports to prepare for your survey
