Judy Adams is the President and CEO of Adams Home Care Consulting, Inc. For the past 30+ years, Judy has provided a variety of operational and clinical consultative services to large and small home care and hospice organizations in several states in the eastern half of the United States. She has taught hundreds of teleconferences and day-long workshops on ICD-9 and ICD-10 diagnosis coding, OASIS, home health prospective payment system, coverage and documentation, and a variety of other clinical and regulatory home health and hospice topics for individual agencies, state associations and national organizations. The purpose of this activity is to enable attendees to acquire knowledge of the changes that have been implemented since October 1, 2015, an overview of the new and revised codes that will impact home health and hospice and have an opportunity to practice with a selection of intermediate level coding scenarios and sample situations.
DAY ONE: July 12, 2016 (8:00am-4:30pm)

Objectives:
1. Identify updates in ICD-10 coding conventions, such as interim guidance related to Excludes 1 notations, appropriate use of symptom codes, and correct selection of 7th characters.
2. Discuss the status of conflicting direction related to common codes utilized in home health such as nonhealing/slow healing surgical wounds, muscle and bone severity levels of nonpressure ulcers, joint replacement for traumatic fractures, etc.
3. Discuss overview of the new, revised and deleted codes most applicable to home health and hospice that are scheduled for implementation on October 1, 2016.
4. Practice using the fiscal year 2017 new and revised codes in home health and hospice situations with particular emphasis on new and revised codes in:
