Faith, Freedom & Public Schools:   How to confidently teach about Judeo-Christian history, culture, and values across the curriculum

While many educators feel comfortable teaching students about various world religions, the same is not necessarily true when it comes to the Bible and Christianity.

Faith, Freedom, and Public Schools is a three-hour workshop for public school educators. This is not about “education theory.” You’ll learn practical ways to appropriately and lawfully include teaching about the Bible and Christian history, culture, and values across the curriculum. You’ll also receive the latest updates on federal and state religious liberty issues affecting students and teachers.

Understand the 5 Key Principles to Move From Fear to Freedom In Your Classroom!

  • How the idea of "separation of Church and State" applies and does not apply to your classroom
  • Your state academic standards expect students to learn about the Bible and Christianity
  • Courts support teaching students about the Bible and Christianity -- including the religious aspects of holidays
  • The U.S. Department of Education has clarified students’ religious liberties (and you can teach about them!)
  • Practical lesson ideas you can use immediately in your classroom

PLUS, you will also receive a CD full of materials including:

  • Over 200 pages of Powerpoint slides used in the seminar
  • Your state's academic standards indicating where the Bible and Christianity can be taught
  • 52 Successful ways to bring a Godly influence to your school
  • The Case for Teaching about Christianity in Public Schools
  • U.S. Department of Education Guidelines on Students' Religious Liberties

ALSO, when you register, you can submit a question you would like answered by Eric Buehrer during his presentation. While professional development seminars of this nature often charge $120 or more, we are grateful that we can offer it for $40 due to the generous grants and contributions of Gateways supporters. (Colorado Christian Univ. alumni, students, and affiliate faculty: $25 or, $40 after July 20.)
