Entrepreneurship Certificate Community of Practice

Workshop - Managing in Growth #19

Thursday, February 14th, 2019

During this workshop we will think about, discuss, apply, and practice:

  • Delegation and specialization
  • Blind spots in hiring and what to do about them
  • Human resources and growth
  • Supplier and contracts management

What is the Acadia Entrepreneurship Centre Entrepreneurship Certificate Community of Practice?

A community of practice helps you bridge the gap between knowing what to do and knowing how to do it. We lightly facilitate a topic of conversation, and you and your peers take it where it needs to go. You can join for one or all 23 of the topics - it's up to you.

Imagine having 8-12 minds all working on business problems together, over several weeks, with all the insights, past experiences, diversity, and strengths that can bring. Over the past 2 years, the diverse group has helped each other brainstorm where to find new customers, how best to market a new product, helped develop a new business name or tag line, and more. There have even been collaborations on products and services. We never know what might come out of the conversation! And since participants come and go, the insights are always fresh.

What do local business owners say about the Community of Practice?
“Now I think like an entrepreneur about everything.”
“The discussions are the best part.”
“This is priceless. As an entrepreneur I can’t get this anywhere else.”
“The best part is sharing information with each other.”
“I haven’t talked to anyone about my business like we talk on Wednesday morning."

Seating is limited, register today.
