Fire of the Goddess New Moon Women's Circle

Inanna, New Moon Ceremony: Facing the Dark Mother

Sunday, February 7, 6 - 9 PM @ Flanders House, $33 Includes One Hour Spa

The First of the Four Month Fire of the Goddess Women's Circles

"One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious.” ~ Carl Jung

During the dark days of Winter, we have the opportunity to sit with own inner darkness and transform our pain and fear into courage and beauty. Gathering in a circle of women on the New Moon is a potent way to connect to our inner Initiate.

Ancient myths provide symbolic keys of guidance that unlock the mysteries of our spiritual path. In Fire of the Goddess teachings, Inanna is the archetype of the Initiate who descends into the Underworld to face her own pain and fear. Shedding the cultural archetypes along the way, she releases everything that is holding her back, faces the Dark Mother and dies for three days. On her rebirth, she emerges powerful yet humble, infused with the wisdom of her complete transformation.

In this circle we travel deep into the dark recesses of our being to reclaim an unhappy time as a personal initiation, such as heartbreak, loss or pain.  By reframing trauma we are able to transform pain into a personal vision of Power. We will:

~co-create a sacred circle container

~shed our limitations through embodied movement

~journey to the Underworld on a shamanic drum journey guided by the story of Inanna

~spa afterward to integrate our experience

This circle is part of a four month Fire of the Goddess Women's series. See here for more information on upcoming circles.
