The course will introduce students to civil construction plans, determining earthwork quantities, equipment economics and utilization, equipment production rates, fundamentals of earthmoving and excavating, loading and hauling equipment.

The 109 Practical Applications of Heavy Civil Construction is a fundamental construction education and training course that focuses on understanding heavy civil construction methods, procedures and techniques.This includes site preparation and grading, excavation, backfill, compaction, trenching, paving, and dewatering. Discussions on the proper methods of determining earthwork quantities, estimating civil construction costs and safety implications will take place throughout the course to further advance students’ understanding of the course material as they study building and construction online
308 Construction Project Management
The purpose of this 308 Construction Project Management is one of many construction management classes online that provide a framework for understanding the project manager’s roles, responsibilities, processes and procedures. Students will learn the stages of the project, dispute resolution, project financing, feasibility, bidding and contracting. Students will learn about cost and risk control as well as developing and applying policies and procedures. The purpose of the 310 Practical Applications of Construction Law online course is to provide a framework for understanding the legal environment in which construction takes place, an essential piece of knowledge in our construction management certificate programs.
