Accessibility Issues in Rail Transportation

Accessibility in rail transportation in the United States varies tremendously. Newer light rail systems generally have accessible stations and accessible cars that provide universal access for all passengers. Older subway systems, commuter rail systems and Amtrak still have a long way to go to become fully accessible.
