Demystifying Neuropsychological Assessments

Presenter: Elizabeth Lops, Ph.D.

Pediatric Neuropsychologist

Thursday, March 2 | 7-9pm

220 Reservoir Street, Suite 6, Needham, MA

Understanding a child’s learning profile helps to gauge learning strengths and weaknesses, including how that student learns best and what is needed to adequately support his/her learning style. Comprehensive neuropsychological assessments can provide valuable insight into a child’s learning and emotional profile, including what may be hindering academic progress. In this workshop, child psychologist Elizabeth Lops, Ph.D., will provide information regarding the components of a neuropsychological assessment and when it may be helpful to seek an independent evaluation, as well as concrete suggestions for what to look for when ascertaining a neuropsychological assessment.

Topics covered will include:

  • Components of a neuropsychological assessment
  • What to ask for when requesting a neuropsychological evaluation
  • Differences between school-based testing and testing by independent evaluators
  • Factors influencing children’s learning progress

Admission is FREE, but space is limited and first come, first served. Please RSVP below at your earliest convenience.

Refreshments will be provided. We look forward to seeing you there!
