HR Exchange-Legal Updates 

We will cover two of the hottest legal topics affecting workplaces in 2016 – Workplace Harassment and The DOL’s proposed new Overtime Regulations, AND we will have fun in the process! Our presenters will be Lee Geiger and Samantha Koeninger, both attorneys with Graydon Head. Here is a little information we will be discussing with each topic:

(1) “Don’t Relax! It’s Not Just Sex.” After a quick update on recent issues in workplace harassment (complete with musical accompaniment), we will put your juror and HR skills to the test with a real court case. This interactive presentation is sure to leave you scratching your head as you leave and it just might change the way you handle workplace harassment issues.

 (2) “Show Me The Money!”  We will offer practical tips for dealing with employee classification issues and will discuss the Department of Labor’s proposed FLSA regulations that will substantially alter who may be classified as an exempt employee. The long-awaited regulations are expected to be issued before this presentation, so we will have a lot to discuss.
