Featuring Jewish food writer and cookbook author, Leah Koenig with music by Yoshie Fruchter

Shabbat Dinner
(Bring your own wine...there's no corkage fee at the synagogue!)

6:30-7:30pm Enjoy Leah’s modern take on a classic Shabbat chicken dinner ($20 with advance reservations (tbesoc.org) Inspire your own Shabbat dinner table with Leah's!!

  • Challah with Cinnamon-Honey Tahini Spread 
  • Carrot Salad with Mint and Dates
  • *Roast Chicken with Fennel and Orange
  • Pine Nut and Scallion Couscous
  • *Veggie option: Moroccan Chickpea Stew

Leah Koenig’s work has appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Saveur, Epicurious, CHOW, BonAppetit.com, Modern Farmer, More, Time Out New York, Hemispheres, and Tablet, among other publications. Leah’s first cookbook, The Hadassah Everyday Cookbook: Daily Meals for the Contemporary Jewish Kitchen was published by Rizzoli/Universe in 2011. Her second cookbook, Modern Jewish Cooking, will be released in 2015 by Chronicle.

 

 

 

Yoshie Fruchter is a guitar and bass player whose band, Pitom (Tzadik Records) has received critical acclaim from Jazz Times magazine, the Wall Street Journal, Guitar Player Magazine and many more.  He has toured the US and Europe with Pitom and other groups.
