This presentation reviews the Colorado General Assembly and how a bill becomes a law. It is intended to be instructive for how people can better monitor bills and participate in the legislative process. We will review the makeup of Colorado’s General Assembly, how a bill becomes a law, terms and vocabulary associated with the law-making process, how to find a review proposed legislation, when the public can testify, and how to advocate for or against a bill.
