Independent medical examinations and subpoenas duces tecum are important tools in most personal injury cases.  But many attorneys, and even judges, are not always as familiar with the Rules as they should be.  This class will start with the basics of Rules, discuss the importance of thinking about the Rules when drafting the Case Management and Scheduling Orders, and then end with a conversation about more advanced problems that attorneys frequently encounter in state and federal court.  Recent case law, rule changes, and trends will be covered.  This is an area where we benefit from hearing the recent experiences and practices of each other.  So, please bring your questions, comments, and ideas for how to best make use of these important discovery tools.
