Presented by:

Brendan Powers, Spies Powers & Robinson

This is the second of a three-part series focused on strategies for effective research and writing. Session 1 addressed strategies for researching and structuring one’s legal argument. Session 2 focuses on the mechanics of effective advocacy in the written form, including word choice, sentence and paragraph structure, repetition, and persuasion.  This 1.5-hour session will identify tools to employ, and the tropes to avoid, in converting one’s research and outline into concise, compelling, and ethical legal writing. It also will build upon the ethical guidelines to follow in presenting one’s argument.

New lawyers and more seasoned advocates are welcome!
