Caleb Meyer will discuss the various issues that arise with medical and workers compensation liens in personal injury litigation, including the collateral source rule, purchasing of liens, and set-offs. He will also discuss the increasing involvement of litigation finance companies in the personal injury context and the challenges they pose.
Attendees are expected to learn how to best address the issues that arise with liens, as well as how to deal with the involvement of litigation finance companies from the inception of suit through trial.
