OVERVIEW:
When an employee (or a former employee) threatens a lawsuit against the employer, the employer should have a game plan in place to maximize its chances of successfully defending against that lawsuit. While there is no “one size fits all” strategy, there are common mistakes made by counsel that lead to unfavorable results for clients. This presentation will focus on the common errors made by defense counsel ranging from the very beginning of a claim or charge, leading all the way up to and including trial. Attendees will not only get information and experiences from defense counsel, but also an invaluable view point from plaintiff’s counsel. By highlighting the common errors, practitioners will be better suited to evaluate their cases and create proper defense strategies.
