2016 Open House

Please join us for our 2016 Intrust IT Open House. We are opening our doors to invite customers and friends in for an evening of informative workshops, door prize giveaways, and of course, some food and drinks. Please sign up for the event and be sure to sign up for some of the informative discussions that will take place while you are here.

Be sure when you register that you take advantage of one, or all, of our educational sessions that will be going on during the Open House.  The Open House begins at 4:00p and the learning sessions are as follows:

Cyber Security for the Real World - 4:00p
If most cyber security presentations were a book, they would be 95 pages of doom and gloom about the statistics of data breaches, and maybe 5 pages about cyber security with non-specific recommendations that you know already.  That is NOT the case this time.  This session casts that stale agenda aside and gives you new insight into the rapidly developing world of cybercrime and the specific things you can do to protect both yourself and your company from cyber threats.  You will walk away with best practices along with tools and tips you can start implementing right away to greatly improve your cyber security posture.

Monitoring and Controlling Kids on the Internet - 5:00p
It’s a given that kids today are required to be on the Internet.  Years ago homework meant using an encyclopedia, dictionary and maybe a thesaurus.  Today homework means Google, Wikipedia and maybe Youtube.  Because of the vast amount of information available on the Internet, there’s a lot out there you probably don’t want them to have access to until they are ready.  This session will show you how you can monitor and control where on the Internet your kids go.  We will start with the basics that everyone should have in place, no matter your kid’s age, and then we will progress into more sophisticated controls for your older and more technically savvy kids.  Many of the tools that we will demonstrate are available for free.
