You’ve learned basic grant writing skills and now you’re ready to design, develop and write your own. This course will provide the know-how you need to give your grant proposal a fighting chance. Workshop participants will have an in-depth review of the major building blocks of successful grant proposals. Special attention will be paid to case statements, preparing budgets, management plans and evaluation. Pitfalls and best practices will be discussed, as well as what reviewers and funders are looking for. Ample time for challenging questions and hands-on exercises will be included in the presentation.
You’ll learn how to write compelling case statements; develop budget categories and budget narratives; design a grant management plan and learn the basic grant logic model and winning evaluation practices.

PRESENTER: Lisa Perry-Wood is a principal in Clarity Consulting Partners, with over 25 years of grant writing and fundraising experience. Her client list has included small and large non-profits, government agencies, public and charter schools, providing grants and fundraising work in education, the arts, science, human services, social justice and other areas. Lisa taught a 3-credit course in grant writing and fund development for local colleges and universities, and numerous workshops for Associated Grant Makers in Boston. She is the founding president of the MA Chapter of the Grants Professionals Association and lives in Lexington, is a certified yoga teacher/Ayurveda consultant, and received a Masters of Divinity in May 2016.

Credit card charges and handling are subtracted from the amount refunded. A credit may also be applied to a future workshop in lieu of a refund.
