Event Information
Join us for our 7th annual Thank the Turkeys celebration on Saturday, November 5, 2016. Celebrate life and compassion by thanking the turkeys (and our other residents) for bringing joy to our hearts.
Spend time with the rescued residents, help feed the turkeys and chickens, and then drive over to a beautiful event center and enjoy a catered vegan dinner! Miyoko Schinner of Miyoko's Kitchen will speak before we dine.

Offsite Dinner Venue
We will escort you to the offsite venue where dinner will be served. In case you miss the vehicle train, we will dine at the Foothills Event Center, an event hall, NOT a restaurant. 400 Idaho Maryland Road, Grass Valley.
Closed toed shoes are MANDATORY. You will not be permitted into the goat, pig, sheep, or cattle pastures without closed toed shoes. Please convey this to your group members!
Long pants are required for entrance into the pastures. Jeans or comfortable khakis should suffice!
It is too soon to know about the weather, but the event will go on, rain or shine!
Bring your cameras! Take lots of photos and make sure to tag us on social media!
Leave companion animals at home. Our rescued farmed animals are very sensitive about unknown dogs. We ask that all companion animals remain at home. You cannot leave your dog in a vehicle unattended, given that there will be a lot of people around and we are on a busy road.
Please do not bring your own food. All food is vegan. Food for the turkeys will be provided to you.
