Please join us for this interactive training series
the history of the domestic violence movement;
how systemic racism, sexism, ableism, and other forms of discrimination create barriers to serving marginalized groups;
how diversity, equity, equality, inclusion, and implicit bias affect service delivery;
ways to become more culturally responsive and inclusive;
the impact of batterers on family dynamics and how to ally with parents who are survivors;
the importance of a trauma-informed lens, survivor-defined advocacy, safety-planning, and strategies for risk management;
danger and lethality assessments, legal remedies, and the pros and cons of protection orders;
Ohio's Crime Victim Compensation Program.

Cost: Free for ODVN Members (ODVN Member Program or Individual/Organizational Membership); $150 for Non-ODVN Members. ***Note: If paying by check, please include the name of the training on the memo line. CEUs: To obtain 15 CEUs, you are required to attend all sessions and complete all online learning courses. When you register, please include your complete license number if you are a licensed counselor or social worker in Ohio. Only participants who have completed both the 10 hours of online learning and the full 3 days of live training will be eligible to receive 15 CEUs or a certificate of attendance. Participants must keep their cameras on during all three days of the live training in order to receive credit for attending. Evaluations and Certificate Request forms must be completed within 24 hours after the training to receive CEUs.
Deadline to Register: Registration for virtual attendance ends on September 1, 2023. Registration to attend Day 1 in-person ends on August 22, 2023 or when capacity is met.
