Please join us for this virtual, interactive training

Working with survivors of domestic violence will often put you in unfamiliar situations. Every survivor that you encounter has a unique experience and background, and a supportive provider should approach them with curiosity and without assumptions. Join ODVN for an exploration of cultural humility including approaches to navigating uncomfortable emotions, building survivor-centered services, and how to hold ourselves accountable when we get it wrong. Advocates will be invited to reflect on their own experiences, learn strategies to examine implicit biases, and develop skills to support survivors with cultural humility.

Keynote Speakers: Kim Kaiser, DEI Director, Families Together in NYS; Justice Walcott, DEI Youth Engagement Specialist, Families Together in NYS

Cost: Free for ODVN Members (ODVN Member Program or Individual/Organizational Membership); $25 for Non-ODVN Members. ***Note: If paying by check, please include the name of the training on the memo line.
