Please join us for this interactive, virtual workshop

During this workshop, participants will share examples of empathy and engage in scenarios to enhance responses when supporting youth and adult survivors. Explore Rogerian concepts and how meeting survivors “where they are at” requires active listening and controlled empathy. Highlights include trauma-informed approaches, do's and don'ts, providing emotional and physical safety, and exploring your bias and expectations in your service.

Noteworthy: Please join with the expectation of participating and talking with one another, risking thoughts, trying ideas during role-play and scenarios, and breaking into small group work over Zoom. If you participate and wish to receive CEU's you will need to demonstrate your participation with cameras on, engage in conversation, and actively participate in small group work.

ODVN Trainers: Sonia Ferencik, LISW-S, RA, 200-CYT, Youth Advocacy and Trauma Informed Services Coordinator
