Spend a morning exploring ODVN's Trauma-Informed Approaches: Promising Practices and Protocols for Ohio's Domestic Violence Programs. Understanding the 16 approaches will help you to develop a strong foundation in your advocacy skill set. Many programs in Ohio and other states and countries have utilized the 16 trauma-informed approaches as core training resources to enhance advocates' understanding of survivor-defined advocacy.
Real-time discussion and breakout groups will weave trauma knowledge and responses to survivors with trauma-informed care best practices during hotline calls, intakes, support groups, exit interviews, safety planning, and supporting parents.
